Robert Harris - Pastor Email Bro. Harris at bro.robertharris@sbcglobal.net

Robert Harris was born on July 6, 1971 in Hot Springs, Arkansas and lived in Bismarck Arkansas until he was 13 when he moved to Hot Springs. Robert was saved at the age of 8 and was baptized by Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Bismarck. Growing up he held membership and faithful attendance in Unity and in Oaklawn Missionary Baptist Church of Hot Springs. He graduated in 1989 from Hot Springs High School. He attended college for two years in pursuit of a visual arts degree, when God convinced him of his call to preach. He entered the Missionary Baptist Seminary (http://www.mb-seminary.com/ )in Little Rock AR where he attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Bible Languages and a Master’s Degree in Bible. He served as pastor of Colonial Missionary Baptist Church in Conway AR from 1996-2000, Assistant and Interim Pastor of County Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Texarkana, AR from 2000-2004, and has served Victory Baptist Church from November 2004 to the present.

In September 1993, Robert Harris experienced love at first sight with Sherri Davidson at the Conway Missionary Baptist Student Fellowship. 10 months later they married and in March 1999 they had their first child Sophia Gayle. Three years after Sophia was born, Robert and Sherri had their second child Sydney Grace. Sherri was saved at the age of 5 and attended church for most of her life at Centerfork MBC in Hot Springs Arkansas. She is a certified teacher in the state of Arkansas in Music Education and English. Sophia was saved in spring of 2006 and was baptized by her overjoyed father at Victory MBC. Brother Harris has been active as a pastor, evangelist, teacher, writer, lecturer, and program developer for the length of his ministry. He has been involved in missions at home and abroad playing active roles in works in Mexico and now in the Philippines. He brings creativity and passion into any role he is led by God to undertake. His greatest love of all is telling others about the salvation that is available only through Jesus Christ, and then assisting in their growth as a Christian.

Brother Harris’ favorite Bible character (aside from God) is Melchizedek. His favorite Bible verse is 1 John 4:18. His favorite coffee is Starbucks’ “Ethiopian Sidamo”. Musically speaking, his favorite Christian musician is Rich Mullins, he loves Casting Crowns & David Crowder Band, and (in his opinion) the greatest music experience is Beethoven’s 9th or Mozart’s Requiem performed live by a symphony orchestra and chorus. His favorite free time activities are to go on dates with Sherri, watch movies & ride bikes with his family, work on creative projects with his brothers, SCUBA dive, vigorously discuss scriptures with other preachers, read books, attend concerts, vacation in PCB Florida, and write poetry. He would love to get a pottery wheel and kiln someday.
